This week's Warrior Spotlight is on Natasha Bair, Medical Assistant in Alexandria, IN. Natasha's Center Manager, Julie Clifton shared an awesome story about Natasha going the extra mile to create a stronger bond with our patients.
As a front-line employee, Natasha has an opportunity to connect with every patient she interacts with, and she took the initiative to do something she thought could help make our patients more at-ease with her. Natasha, you truly embody the Warrior Spirit and we thank you for your dedication and desire to relate to our patients and make them comfortable. Thank you for sharing this story, Julie, and thank you, Natasha for everything you do for our patients and for embodying the Warrior Spirit. Please read Natasha's story below.
"Natasha Bair has been with CSC about a month and noticed that a lot of our patients have tattoos and piercings. She has neither and wanted to find a way to get patients to be more comfortable with her and to open up a little when she had them back in the lab.
One morning Natasha came in with purple hair. I was surprised and asked her why she had chosen to color her hair purple. She just simply stated that since she did not have tattoos or piercings she thought if she colored her hair in an unnatural color that the patients would open up to her more.
Well, that worked and the patients found the purple hair as a conversation starter. They love her hair and we love her for going above and beyond to make our patients feel more at ease during their appointments. That is a true Warriors For Hope spirit." - Julie Clifton, Center Manager, Muncie, IN
This example of Natasha brainstorming ways in which she could get her patients to feel more at-ease with her not only shows Warrior Spirit, but it exemplifies putting Patients First and Everyday Innovation. It's important that we remember innovation comes in many forms and it can be something as small but meaningful as dying your hair to relate to your patients. This was something voluntary that Natasha planned and is another example of what sets CleanSlate apart from any other organization. The dedication our Warriors have for our patients is unparalleled and we are incredibly fortunate to have you as part of our team. Thank you, Natasha!
