Anderson, IN Creates "Take What You Need" Board to Inspire Providers

Rachael Stonewall, Center Manager in Anderson, IN, along with Nurse Practitioner Jesse Bleyle, came up with the innovative idea of hanging up a "Take What You Need" board in their center to help inspire and raise spirits among their providers who were feeling a bit discouraged. The board originally featured notes on what was going well for patients but grew to include inspirational phrases and words of wisdom to encourage the whole team, such as:

National Recovery Month Tools Now Available

Every September is recognized as National Recovery Month to increase awareness and understanding of mental and substance use disorders and celebrate the people who recover. The 2019 theme is Join the Voices for Recovery: Together We Are Stronger.

The Marketing & Communications department will be sharing an email with a variety of National Recovery Month resources and instructions on how to access them with Center Managers today.

Compliance Update - Upcoming Training and Evaluation

CleanSlate remains committed to upholding the highest ethical and compliance standards to best support our patients and colleagues. Our commitment to compliance goes hand-in-hand with our second core value: Respect and Compassion Always. It is not only our obligation but rather our privilege to ensure the confidentiality of those who entrust us with their care along their road to recovery.

The Compliance Team has been hard at work over the last few months distributing our 2019 Code of Conduct and ensuring we meet the stringent privacy regulations required of our company by HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Thank you to everyone who has completed their annual privacy training to prevent improper handling or release of the important information patients entrust us with each day. We will continue to wrap up annual privacy training through the end of the month.

Muncie Center Implements Exciting New Incentive for Patients to Keep Appointments

The Muncie CleanSlate center recently implemented a new incentive program for patients who keep all of their scheduled visits. The center staff have started to hole punch (with a special hole punch) the patient appointment cards. Every time a patient comes in for their scheduled visit, the staff punch the card. When the appointment card is full, it is placed in a fish bowl for a drawing to win a special surprise. When a patient shows up for their called random and they show, the staff also put a card in the fish bowl.

TOGETHER WE SUCCEED: Wisconsin Centers Participate in National Night Out

People and police come together under positive circumstances every year for National Night Out, an event that happens across the country on the first Tuesday in August. The CleanSlate Kenosha and Racine centers were there to show our support of and continued work with local law enforcement and to help decrease the stigma surrounding addiction treatment and to be a valuable resource to the communities we serve. CleanSlate's work with law enforcement across the U.S. is vitally important in intervening with high risk populations and helping to reach those who need addiction treatment most. 

The National Night Out program started in 1984 and since then it has brought together 38 million neighbors with local law enforcement agencies in 16 thousand communities.
