Hartford, CT Holiday Tree of Hope Inspires Patients

by Carol Fite Lynn | Dec 12, 2018

The Warriors for Hope at the CleanSlate Hartford, CT center are exhibiting the true spirit of the season by working with their patients to develop the concept for a "Holiday Tree of Hope."

"The actual thought of the 'Tree of Hope' came from a conversation between me and one of our patient's and his spouse," said Rebecca Bailey, Medical Assistant/Medical Receptionist for the Hartford center. "We had previously come up with a Grinch theme, and I told him that it seemed a little too blah. We then came up with the idea for the 'Tree of Hope' by having patients make ornaments with just their first names on it so that everyone on that tree has hope, and others can wish them recovery and strength. We also have our board of encouragement  where they can place a quote that helps them during their recovery."

We encourage all CleanSlate programs to adopt this unique idea to support and inspire patients with hope this holiday season. Send us photos of your "Holiday Tree of Hope" to warriorsforhope@cleanslatecenters.com.
