Exciting Changes in the Preceptor Program

by Bob Wilson | Apr 10, 2019

Greetings CleanSlate Team:

I am pleased to announce that Learning & Development in conjunction with our Medical teamL&D 2 4.10.10 has revised our preceptor program.  This is a mission-critical program in that it prepares our new providers with the knowledge that they need to care for our patients. The team of Nicole Delmonico, Regina Kowal, Kaylene Frey, and Sandra Anderson have re-worked this crucial program, with input from our Area Medical Directors (AMDs), which we believe will enhance the learning process for new providers. Nicole, in collaboration with clinical leadership, will lead the implementation and administration of the program moving forward.  The program will be kept fresh with new content and will also be used for refresher training where appropriate.

The team has identified sixteen (16) preceptors from across CleanSlate who were carefully selected based on their addiction medicine knowledge and ability to facilitate, coach, and teach. Additionally, these sixteen people will receive a one-day facilitator training by Nicole, Regina, Kaylene, and Sandra. This is a development opportunity for these preceptors while also serving in a critical role for CleanSlate.

We are excited to begin implementing this program and expect it will have a significant impact on the development of our providers which, in turn, will significantly benefit our patient outcomes.  This program is another example of teamwork and putting our patients first in everything we do, and everyday innovation at CleanSlate!

Please join me in thanking this team for their hard work, wishing them much success in the roll-out and congratulating the preceptors for their outstanding work!
