We wanted to share an important update and summary of changes to our Continuing Medical Eduction (CME) policy for your review and acknowledgment. Please note that a copy of our formal policy with further details can be found under “My Company” in UltiPro.
CleanSlate encourages and supports our colleagues in responsibly maintaining superior levels of continuing education in their professional field in order to renew their medical licensure and maintain the highest quality standards and practices for patients. CleanSlate has adopted a Continuing Medical Education Reimbursement Program to aid in this endeavor.
Beyond the guidelines included in this policy, continuing education is the professional responsibility of each provider. It is critical to ensure ongoing professional development and, in some cases, licensure.
CME reimbursement is allocated on a calendar year basis and funds are to be used for expenses directly and specifically related to the colleague's CME requirements for license renewal. Funds must be used in the current calendar year of CME completion or they will be forfeited. Annual reimbursement limits are allowances and are not intended to be considered part of your annual compensation.
Updates effective 01/01/2020:
- CME will not require pre-approval unless the CME event requires you to take time off during your normal work hours, prior- approval from your Center Manager will be required before registering for a CME event.
- Documentation of CME completion must be scanned into Expensify and attached to your request for reimbursement to take place. Failure to do so will result in your request being rejected.
- CME hours will now be pro-rated based off regularly scheduled hours worked, up to 40 hours per calendar year.
