by Carol Fite Lynn | Sep 4, 2019

The CleanSlate East Dayton team recently attended the FOA (Families of Addicts) Rally 4 Recovery at the end of August to kick off National Recovery Month.

"As our first year being in Dayton, we were eager to be a part of this wonderful cause," said Nikki Nemeth, Center Manager. "We were able to sponsor this event that gave us the opportunity to meet with a lot of our community members and other resources that are in this fight along side us!  It was an amazing event that celebrated recovery for all!"E Dayton Recovery Rally 6

This year, over 3,000 people attended and 70 community partners were present as a resource to anyone affected by addiction and entire families experiencing recovery together.

"On behalf of the entire FOA organization, I thank CleanSlate for your commitment to the families of the Miami Valley," said Lori Erion, President and Co-Founder of FOA. "CleanSlate made the difference on rally day and we appreciate your support of our message and purpose — To unite the people and resources of the Miami Valley to: eliminate the stigma associated with addiction and mental health disorders, educate about addiction and mental health disorders and celebrate that people can and do recover!"

This year, over 3,000 people attended and 70 community partners were present as a resource to anyone affected by addiction and entire families experiencing recovery together.

"Almost a week has passed since rally day, and so far I have been notified of 11 people referred to treatment as a result of attending the rally," said Lori Erion.
