CleanSlate Outpatient Addiction Medicine is proud to be an exhibitor at the Wisconsin Society of Addiction Medicine, an annual conference that is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals in and around the state of Wisconsin. On September 27th - 29th, healthcare and other professionals from across Wisconsin with an interest in the field of addiction will gather to hear experts discuss the most recent developments in addiction medicine. CleanSlate's exhibit will be on display on Thursday, September 27th, at the Lee Lounge on the first/main floor of the Pyle Center.

CleanSlate is rapidly expanding across the state of Wisconsin, with four existing outpatient addiction medicine centers in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Glendale and Racine, and more centers opening soon. We are hiring for Physicians (full and part-time), Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in several cities and towns across the state, including:

  • Milwaukee
  • Waukesha
  • Beloit
  • Kenosha
  • La Crosse
  • Madison
  • Greenfield
  • Eau Claire

Having treated more than 33,000 patients over the past decade, CleanSlate’s program of care includes appropriate medication treatment prescribed by licensed medical providers, as well as clear accountability and supportive counseling. CleanSlate's approach is to work closely with community partners, other healthcare providers, counseling centers, health insurance networks, government officials and local communities to coordinate in the battle against the opioid epidemic. With more than 10,000 active patients across 48 centers nationwide, the medical group is aggressively growing its footprint to expand much-needed access to medical care for addiction.

Here is what some of CleanSlate's staff in its recently opened center in Racine, WI have had to say about working as a "Warrior For Hope."

"I'm excited to be a part of CleanSlate's opening in Racine because the need for our services is so tremendous here," said Dana Thomson, Center Manager for CleanSlate's center in Racine. "We're pounding the pavement in the community right now, educating people about medication treatment and helping to decrease the stigma around addiction. It's clear to me that we can make a real difference here."

"Every day I enjoy my job because I see a smile and see some hope in someone's eyes," Thomson continued. "We provide that to them at CleanSlate."

"We are a company that genuinely cares," said Dr. Regina Capelli-Scheidt, CleanSlate's Center Medical Director in Racine. "We have compassion and empathy for our patients, and these values go all the way to the top of the organization. Patients truly come first here."

Michelle Nerdrum, a Medical Assistant/ Medical Receptionist at CleanSlate, knows from personal experience how important the new center is for Racine. "I am affected personally after losing many people I have known," she said. "Most recently, my niece has been lost to this epidemic. I am truly grateful that we have opened here because the resources are so limited and the need is so great."

For Capelli-Scheidt, joining CleanSlate's new Wisconsin center is also a personal experience. "I was born and raised here, and am now raising my own family in Racine," she observed. "It means so much to me to work here and fight to make a difference against the opioid epidemic that is hurting my hometown community."
