This Wed., Feb. 21st, CleanSlate will proudly welcome a group of special guests along with members of the community at the grand opening event for our new center in South Philadelphia. Philadelphia Mayor James Kenney and other dignitaries will speak about the significance of CleanSlate's office-based opioid treatment program in a city that has been particularly devastated by the opioid crisis.
Expected guests include: James F. Kenney, Mayor of Philadelphia; Patrick Kennedy, former United States Representative and CleanSlate Board Member; Joanne McFall, Keystone First Market President; Rob Wonderling, President and CEO of The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia; and Mark Squilla, Philadelphia City Councilman.
The Philadelphia center opening has been championed by insurance providers and CleanSlate partners. These include Keystone First, a Blue Cross Medical Assistance (Medicaid) product and the largest Medical Assistance managed care product in southeastern Pennsylvania; and AmeriHealth Caritas, a national leader in Medicaid managed care and other health care solutions for those most in need. AmeriHealth Caritas and Keystone First have demonstrated leadership in emphasizing the need for medication-assisted treatment for members with opioid addiction, and are doing their part to increase access to evidenced-based care.
The grand opening is poised to receive a great deal of media attention, with several news crews planning to cover the event. An iHeart Media radio interview about this partnership and the importance of medication-assisted treatment for people suffering from the disease of addiction will feature CleanSlate Area Medical Director Dr. Todd Fasnaught and Keystone First Market President Joanne McFall. The program, "Insight," will air Sun., Feb. 18th, on WDAS FM from 6am-7am, and on Power 99 FM from 7am-7:30am.
If you live in the Philadelphia area, please join us at this special event.
